The Wienerberger Kassandra Multi is a frogged facing brick with a heavy textured finish and a red multi colouring. It is used for external walls on house extensions, renovation and repair work, new build housing, chimneys, garden and boundary walls, and piers — anywhere the face of the brickwork will be seen.

Kassandra Multi is one of the bricks most often reached for on extension work, and the reason is the colour. A multi carries several tones blended across the face rather than a single flat colour, which gives a laid wall the depth and movement of older brickwork and helps it settle against an existing house. A flat, uniform brick almost always reads as new against a weathered wall; a textured multi sits in far more convincingly. The heavy texture adds to that, catching light unevenly across the surface the way a traditional brick does.

The brick is frogged, with a recess in the bed face that keys into the mortar for a stronger bond, and it courses in with standard brickwork at four courses to 300mm. Mortar colour makes a considerable difference to how a multi brick reads once laid, so it is worth building a small sample panel before committing to a mix.
