Our Riven Wetcast Concrete Paving measures 600 x 600mm and is supplied in a warm buff tone. It is suitable for patios, pathways, seating areas, garden steps, and general hard landscaping across domestic and light commercial projects.

Wetcast is what gives this slab its appearance. The concrete is poured into moulds taken from natural riven stone, so the surface carries the texture, undulation, and detail of split sandstone rather than the flat, uniform face of a pressed slab. The result is a paving slab that reads as natural stone from a short distance but at a lower cost, and with the consistency of a manufactured product — every slab the same thickness and size, which makes laying quicker and more predictable than working with quarried stone.

The buff colouring sits naturally alongside sandstone walling, honey and buff brick, timber, and traditional planting, and suits cottage and period gardens particularly well. The riven texture also gives good grip underfoot in wet weather. At 600 x 600mm the slabs are a convenient single-size format, laying in a straight grid or staggered bond without the planning a mixed-size pack requires, and each slab covers 0.36m². Lay on a full mortar bed over a compacted sub-base. As with all concrete paving, a sealant can be applied after laying to deepen the colour and reduce staining, though it is not essential.
