Product Description:

Longrake Yorkshire Cream Gravel is a decorative limestone aggregate in soft cream and pale buff tones, supplied in a bulk bag. The 20mm size suits garden borders and flower beds, pathways, rockeries, pot toppings, water features, and general decorative landscaping across domestic and commercial projects.

Yorkshire Cream is a gentler alternative to a bright white aggregate. The soft cream and buff tones warm a space without the starkness pure white can bring, and they sit naturally with sandstone paving, buff and honey-toned brick, limestone walling, and period properties, while still lifting shaded corners and north-facing beds where grey aggregates look flat. The colour deepens slightly when wet.

The chippings are angular rather than rounded, so they knit together into a firm surface that holds its position across a bed or path. Supplied in a bulk bag, it is ready to spread straight onto a prepared area, and buying in bulk works out considerably cheaper per kilo than handy bags once an area runs beyond a border or two. Allow around 40mm to 50mm depth for decorative use, laid over a weed membrane to keep the stone clean and separated from the soil beneath. Coverage will vary with depth. As a pale limestone, it shows dirt and organic staining more readily than darker aggregates, though a rinse will generally restore it.
