Longrake Scottish Pebbles are naturally rounded stones in a mixed palette of grey, brown, cream, and pink, supplied in a 20kg bag. The 30–50mm size suits pond edging and water features, dry stream beds, rockeries, bed and border edging, large containers, and decorative dressing where a bolder stone is wanted.

These are water-worn stones rather than crushed rock, so every pebble is smooth and softly shaped with no sharp edges, and the mixed colouring means no two are quite alike. Wet, the full range of tones comes forward, which is why pebbles of this size are so often used around ponds, rills, and water features where they stay damp.

At 30–50mm this is the largest of the pebble grades before the 40–90mm cobbles, and the stones are substantial enough to read individually rather than as a surface. That makes them well suited to edging, dry stream beds, and feature areas, and their weight means they stay put — they will not wash out in heavy rain or scatter the way finer gravel does. The trade-off is coverage: a 20kg bag holds relatively few stones at this size, so several bags are usually needed for anything beyond a small feature. Allow around 50mm depth for decorative use, laid over a weed membrane. Rounded stone rolls underfoot, so keep it to beds, edges, and water features rather than paths or driveways.
