Product Description:

Good and Proper General Purpose Silicone is a multi-purpose silicone sealant supplied in a 300ml cartridge in clear. It is used for sealing around baths, showers, basins, and sinks, sealing worktops, splashbacks, and tiled surfaces, filling gaps around window and door frames, sealing around pipework, and general indoor and outdoor sealing work.

Silicone cures to a permanently flexible, waterproof seal that moves with the surfaces either side of it, which is what makes it the right product for joints subject to water, condensation, and constant small movement. A rigid filler in the same position cracks open within weeks as a bath fills and empties or a frame expands with the seasons. It adheres to glass, ceramics, glazed tiles, uPVC, aluminium, timber, and most common building materials.

The clear finish is the choice where no single colour would match or where the joint should go unnoticed. It suits glass and glazing, coloured and patterned tiles, stone and worktop surfaces, mixed materials meeting at a joint, and anywhere a white line would draw the eye to the joint rather than disguise it. Apply with a standard sealant gun to a clean, dry, grease-free surface, tool the joint smooth before it skins, and remove excess while still wet, as cured silicone must be cut away rather than wiped off. Silicone cannot be painted over.
