Product Description:

Good and Proper Decorators Caulk and Filler is a flexible acrylic filler supplied in a 300ml cartridge in white. It is used for filling the gaps between skirting, architrave, coving, and walls, sealing around door and window frames internally, filling cracks in plaster and plasterboard, closing joints between panelling and walls, and general preparation work before painting.

Caulk is what gives a decorated room its finished look. The small gaps that open up where trim meets an uneven wall are almost impossible to avoid in any building, and left unfilled they show as dark shadow lines once the paint goes on. Filled and smoothed, those joints disappear entirely, which is why caulking is a standard step for professional decorators before a brush is picked up.

Unlike a rigid powder filler, acrylic caulk stays flexible once cured, allowing it to move with the small seasonal shifts between timber and plaster without cracking open again — the reason rigid fillers fail at exactly these joints. It is also fully overpaintable, taking emulsion, gloss, and satin without repelling the paint as silicone would. Apply with a standard sealant gun, smooth the bead with a wet finger or caulking tool while still soft, and wipe away excess with a damp cloth. Allow to dry fully before painting.
