Good and Proper Contact Adhesive Spray is a high-strength spray adhesive supplied in a 500ml aerosol for bonding sheet materials and large flat surfaces. It is used for fixing laminates, veneers, and worktop edging, bonding insulation board, foam, and acoustic panels, fitting carpet, underlay, vinyl, and upholstery fabrics, laminating plywood, MDF, and hardboard, and general workshop, joinery, and upholstery work.

The advantage of a spray contact adhesive is coverage. A large flat surface can be coated evenly in seconds, with no brush marks, ridges, or dry patches to telegraph through a thin laminate or fabric once it is pressed down. Spreading the same area with a brush or roller takes far longer and is much harder to keep even, which is why spray adhesive is the standard method for laminating and panel work.

As a contact adhesive, it is applied to both surfaces and left to tack off before the two are brought together, at which point the bond forms immediately on contact. That means the parts cannot be slid into position once they touch, so alignment must be right first time — a common technique is to lay battens or dowels between the surfaces, position the panel, then remove them one at a time. Use in a well-ventilated area, mask off surrounding surfaces, and shake the can thoroughly before use.
