The FIXT Performance Screwtub supplies 400 woodscrews at 5.0 x 80mm in a resealable tub, ready for general construction and carpentry work. At this length the screws suit timber framing and studwork, fixing wall plates and noggins, decking boards and substructures, fence rails and arris rails, shed and workshop construction, and fixing thicker timbers together where a shorter screw would not reach far enough into the second section.

The 80mm length is the practical choice for framing work in standard sections. Fixing through a 45mm timber, it still drives around 35mm into the piece behind, which is the kind of penetration a load-bearing joint needs, and it covers most stud, joist, and rail connections without the extra length of a 100mm screw protruding through the far side. At 5.0mm diameter the shank has the strength to take that load without snapping under drive, while staying fine enough not to split framing timber, particularly with a pilot hole near ends and edges.

The screw is built around how it grips. A wide single thread cuts cleanly into the timber and compresses the fibres as it drives, giving high pull-out resistance so framing stays tight rather than working loose, while the recessed double countersunk head resists snapping under high torque and the reinforced drive recess holds the bit firmly with less cam-out. A Yellow Topicalised coating gives good corrosion resistance, and the screws are fully CE and UKCA certified.
