The FIXT Performance Screwtub supplies 500 woodscrews at 5.0 x 60mm in a resealable tub, ready for general carpentry and construction work. At this length the screws suit fixing noggins and blocking, assembling stud frames, fixing battens and counter battens, shed and workshop construction, trellis and garden framing, fitting worktops and cabinet carcasses, and fixing thicker sheet material to timber.

The 60mm length sits between the general-purpose 50mm and the structural 100mm, and it is the size to reach for when a fixing needs more bite than a short screw offers. It passes through a 22mm board or a 25mm batten and still drives well into the timber behind, giving a joint that holds under load rather than simply sitting in place. At 5.0mm diameter it carries that load without being so heavy that it splits framing timber, though a pilot hole remains worth drilling near ends and edges.

The screw is built around how it grips. A wide single thread cuts cleanly into the timber and compresses the fibres as it drives, giving high pull-out resistance so joints stay tight over time, while the recessed double countersunk head resists snapping under torque and the reinforced drive recess holds the bit firmly with less cam-out. A Yellow Tropicalised coating gives good corrosion resistance for interior work and sheltered outdoor use, and the screws are fully CE and UKCA certified.
