Product Description:

EASYJoint in Basalt is a ready-to-use jointing compound for filling the joints between paving slabs, setts, and block paving. Supplied in a 12.5kg tub with no mixing required, it is suitable for patios, pathways, driveways, and garden paving across domestic and commercial landscaping, and can be used with natural stone, porcelain, concrete paving, and clay pavers.

Basalt is the darkest shade in the EASYJoint range — a deep charcoal grey-black that sits well with dark slate, black limestone, charcoal porcelain, and grey sandstone. A dark joint frames each slab and defines the laying pattern rather than blending into it, which suits contemporary schemes and larger-format paving in particular. It is also the most forgiving colour for staining and general wear, making it a practical choice for driveways, busy paths, and areas around dining and barbecue spaces.

The all-weather formulation cures in damp conditions and light rain, so work does not have to stop for the weather, and the finished joint stays slightly flexible to accommodate the small movements a paved surface makes with temperature change and settlement. The cured joint is permeable, allowing rainwater to drain through the surface rather than run off it, which suits SuDS-compliant installations. To apply, wet the paving, sweep the compound into the joints, compact it down, and sweep the surface clean before it sets.
