Our 12mm Sheathing Plywood Sheet is a cost effective structural panel suitable for a wide range of building and site applications. Manufactured from layers of timber veneer bonded with the grain of each layer running at right angles to the one beneath, it is ideal for wall sheathing, floor and roof decking, hoarding, temporary partitions, shuttering, and general carpentry work in both domestic and commercial construction.

This cross-grained construction gives the board strength in both directions and good resistance to warping, splitting, and movement, allowing it to perform reliably where a structural sheet is required. It holds screws and nails well across the full face, cuts cleanly, and provides a flat, consistent surface with none of the weak points found in solid timber. As a sheathing grade board, it is supplied with a functional rather than decorative face, making it a practical and economical choice for builders, contractors, and DIY installers where appearance is not the priority.

At 1220 x 2440mm, each sheet covers 2.98m² and suits standard 400mm and 600mm stud and joist centres, reducing cutting and waste across larger areas. The 12mm thickness is a good general-purpose option, robust enough for sheathing and light decking while remaining manageable to handle and cut on site. Sheets can be worked with standard tools and fixings, and should be supported fully when cutting to reduce splintering along the underside.
