Product Description:
Our 22 x 100mm Treated Sawn Timber is a pressure treated softwood board supplied rough sawn in 3.6m lengths. This light section suits battening, fence rails and framing, shed and workshop cladding supports, trellis and pergola work, raised beds, gravel board backing, and general outdoor carpentry, making it a useful all-round board for builders, landscapers, and DIY installers alike.
Pressure treatment draws preservative deep into the timber under vacuum rather than leaving it sitting on the surface, giving lasting protection against fungal decay, wet and dry rot, and insect attack. This is what allows the board to be used outdoors and in damp locations where untreated softwood would begin to break down within a few seasons. The treatment leaves a green tint that weathers naturally to silver-grey, or can be overpainted with a coloured preservative or stain once the timber has dried out.
