The Faithfull All Steel Square Shovel is a general-purpose site shovel with a flat, square-mouthed blade, designed for moving loose material rather than digging. It is used for shovelling sand, gravel, aggregate, soil, and rubble, loading and unloading wheelbarrows and mixers, turning and mixing concrete and mortar by hand, and clearing debris from floors and hard surfaces.

The square mouth is what makes this the right shovel for handling loose material. The flat, straight front edge sits flush against the ground, so it scoops cleanly off a hard floor, a mixing board, or the bottom of a bulk bag without leaving material behind, and the wide blade carries a full load with every lift. That makes it far quicker than a pointed or narrow shovel for loading barrows, backfilling trenches, and spreading aggregate, and it is the standard tool for mixing concrete and mortar on a board.
