The sash also rotates a full 180 degrees and locks in position, so the outer pane can be cleaned from inside the room, which matters a great deal on an upper storey.

The white painted finish suits bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms, and any space with higher humidity, where the paint protects the timber core better than a clear lacquer, and it sits cleanly against white-painted interiors. The 2070 code denotes the glazing specification — a laminated, toughened double-glazed unit with an inner laminated pane for safety, which is the standard specification for most domestic installations.
