This box supplies 100 wood screws at 6.0 x 80mm, a heavy-gauge screw for structural and load-bearing timber connections. It suits joining framing timbers, joists, and bearers, fixing wall plates and trimmers, decking substructures and posts, gate framing and heavy ironmongery, pergolas and timber structures, and fixing into sleepers and other dense sections.

The 6.0mm gauge is what distinguishes this from a 5.0mm screw of the same length. The thicker shank carries substantially more load and resists the bending and shear that occur in heavy framing, gate hanging, and decking posts, where a finer screw can flex or eventually fail. It also drives more reliably into dense, wet, or treated timber without the shank twisting under torque. At 80mm it reaches around 35mm into the second timber when fixed through a 45mm section, giving a solid framing connection without protruding through the far side.

The screw is built around how it grips. A single thread cuts cleanly into the timber and compresses the fibres as it drives, giving high pull-out resistance so structural joints stay tight under load, while the countersunk head pulls flush into the surface and the reinforced drive recess holds the bit securely under the high torque a screw this size demands. Pilot holes are strongly recommended at 6.0mm, particularly near the ends of timbers and in hardwoods, as a screw this heavy will split narrow or dry timber if driven straight in.
