Our 75mm Foil Faced PIR Insulation Board is a rigid insulation panel consisting of a polyisocyanurate foam core bonded to reflective foil facings on both sides. Suitable for pitched and flat roofs, stud walls and timber frame, floors, dormers, garage and outbuilding conversions, and general insulation upgrades, it is used across both domestic and commercial projects.

PIR has one of the lowest thermal conductivity ratings of any commonly available insulation, which means the required performance is reached at a lower thickness than mineral wool or EPS alternatives. At 75mm, this board is one of the most practical sizes for retrofit and stud work in particular, as it fits neatly between standard 75mm and 100mm studs and can be doubled up or combined with a second layer where a higher specification is needed. The closed-cell structure resists moisture absorption and will not slump, rot, or support mould growth when correctly installed, while the foil facings reflect radiant heat and help the board hold its performance over time.

At 2400 x 1200mm, each board covers 2.88m² and fits standard 400mm and 600mm joist and rafter centres. Boards can be cut with a fine-toothed saw and fitted between or over joists, rafters, and studwork, with joints taped using foil insulation tape to maintain the integrity of the vapour barrier. At 75mm the board is easy to handle and cut single-handed, making it well suited to loft conversions, garage conversions, and work in confined spaces where a thicker board would be awkward to manoeuvre.
