Our Rasa Beige Porcelain Paving is a large-format outdoor porcelain slab for patios, terraces, pathways, and garden seating areas. The 900 x 600mm format covers ground quickly and leaves fewer joints across the finished surface, which gives a calm, uncluttered look and suits patios that open straight off the house.

Beige is the easiest paving colour to build a garden around. Warm and neutral without being bland, it works against buff and red brick, timber decking and fencing, stone walling, and planting of almost any colour, where a strong grey or a bright white would commit the scheme in one direction. It also lifts shaded and north-facing areas by reflecting light back into them, and stays cooler underfoot through summer than darker slabs.

The practical case for porcelain is that it asks almost nothing of you once laid. Fired to a dense, virtually non-porous body, it takes up next to no water, so frost does not trouble it, sunlight does not fade it, and moss, algae, grease, and spilled food and drink wipe away rather than soaking in — which matters more on a pale slab than a dark one. No sealing, no annual restoration, just a wash now and then, with a textured outdoor finish for grip when wet. Bed on a full mortar bed with a slurry primer on the back of each slab, and cut with a diamond blade rated for porcelain.
