Our Cooper Moon Porcelain Paving is a large-format outdoor porcelain slab for patios, terraces, pathways, and garden seating areas. At 900 x 600mm, it covers ground quickly with fewer joints than smaller paving, giving the clean, open look that suits contemporary gardens, outdoor dining areas, and patios designed to flow on from the house.

The appeal of porcelain is how little it asks of you once it is down. Fired at very high temperatures into a dense, virtually non-porous slab, it takes up almost no water, so it shrugs off frost, will not fade in sunlight, and resists the moss, algae, grease, and food and drink stains that mark natural stone. There is no sealing to do and no annual restoration, just an occasional wash with soapy water, and a textured outdoor finish keeps the surface grippy underfoot when wet.

Each slab carries its own variation in tone and pattern, so the finished patio reads as natural rather than repetitive, and the 900 x 600mm format lays well in straight, stretcher bond, or offset patterns. Porcelain should be bedded on a full mortar bed with a slurry primer applied to the back of each slab, as its low porosity means mortar alone will not bond reliably, and cutting requires a diamond blade rated for porcelain.
