Our Standard Smooth Paving Slab measures 600 x 600mm and is supplied in a warm buff tone. It is suitable for patios, pathways, garden steps, seating areas, bin and shed bases, and general hard landscaping across domestic and light commercial projects.

The smooth face is the practical choice where a flat, even surface matters more than texture. Furniture sits level without rocking, chairs slide without catching, and the surface sweeps and washes down easily with nothing for dirt and moss to lodge in, which makes it well suited to seating and dining areas, doorways, and routes used daily. It is also the most economical paving option, which is why it is so widely used for utility areas, side passages, and larger spaces where budget matters more than appearance.

The buff colouring is a soft, warm neutral that sits comfortably with brick, render, and planting of most colours, and it reads lighter and warmer than a grey slab, which helps in shaded or enclosed areas. At 600 x 600mm the slabs are a convenient single-size format, laying in a straight grid or staggered bond without the planning a mixed-size pack requires, and each slab covers 0.36m². Lay on a full mortar bed over a compacted sub-base, and note that a smooth slab can be slippery when wet, particularly in shade, so a riven or textured finish is the better option for sloping paths and routes used in all weathers.
