Product Description:

Longrake Yorkshire Cream Gravel is a decorative limestone aggregate in soft cream and pale buff tones, supplied in a 20kg bag. The 20mm size suits borders and flower beds, planters and pot toppings, rockeries, water features, small pathways, and decorative dressing around patios and planting.

Yorkshire Cream is a gentler, more muted alternative to a bright white aggregate. The soft cream and buff tones warm a space without the starkness that pure white can bring, and they sit naturally with sandstone paving, buff and honey-toned brick, limestone walling, and period properties, as well as lifting shaded corners and north-facing beds where grey aggregates look flat. The colour deepens slightly when wet.

The chippings are angular rather than rounded, so they knit together into a firm surface that holds its position in beds and borders. At 20kg the bag can be carried and poured by one person, fits in a car boot, and stores easily, making it well suited to smaller areas and to topping up where stone has thinned or dulled over time. Allow around 40mm to 50mm depth for decorative use, laid over a weed membrane to keep the stone clean and separated from the soil beneath. As a pale limestone, it shows dirt and organic staining more readily than darker aggregates, though a rinse will generally restore it.
