Longrake Golden Flint Gravel is a decorative flint aggregate in warm golden, honey, and amber tones, supplied in a 20kg bag. The 10mm size suits borders and flower beds, planters and pot toppings, small pathways, rockeries, water features, and decorative dressing around patios and planting.

Flint is one of the hardest naturally occurring aggregates, so it wears well and keeps its colour and shape rather than breaking down as softer stone does. The golden tones deepen noticeably when wet and read considerably brighter than a standard grey shingle, which makes this a good choice for lifting shaded corners, north-facing beds, and areas set against dark fencing or brickwork. It sits particularly well with sandstone paving, buff block paving, and honey-toned brick and stone.

At 10mm the stones are small and comfortable underfoot, which suits paths, seating areas, and anywhere walked regularly, and gives a neater finish in borders and containers than a larger grade. At 20kg the bag can be carried and poured by one person, fits in a car boot, and stores easily, making it well suited to smaller jobs and to topping up where gravel has thinned over time. A depth of around 40mm is usually enough for decorative use, laid over a weed membrane. Larger areas are more economically covered with a bulk bag.
