Core Drive is a gravel stabilisation grid made from high density polyethylene, forming a honeycomb of hexagonal cells that hold gravel firmly in place. Supplied in 1600 x 1200mm sheets, 30mm deep, each covering 1.92m², it is used for gravel driveways, parking areas, paths, garden walkways, and access routes, and is rated for both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

The grid solves the two problems that affect every loose gravel driveway. Without support, gravel migrates under turning wheels, ruts where cars park, spreads onto lawns and pavements, and makes pushing a wheelbarrow, pram, or wheelchair across it hard going. Locked within the cells, the stones cannot move sideways, so the surface stays level and firm underfoot while keeping the appearance and sound of a traditional gravel drive. The grid sits invisibly beneath the stone once filled.

Because rainwater drains straight through the gravel and into the ground below, the finished surface is fully permeable, avoiding the runoff issues associated with tarmac and concrete and making it a suitable choice for SuDS-compliant driveways. It also typically works out cheaper than tarmac, concrete, or block paving. Each sheet comes with a 50gsm non-woven membrane attached to the underside, which suppresses weeds and prevents the gravel mixing with the sub-base. Lay onto a compacted, level sub-base, clip sheets together, then fill with angular or rounded gravel up to 20mm, topping slightly above the cells. As a guide, one tonne of gravel covers around 16–19m² of filled grid.
