Product Description:

Good and Proper GP Silicone is a general purpose silicone sealant supplied in a 300ml cartridge in anthracite. It is used for sealing around anthracite windows, doors, and bi-fold frames, sealing joints in dark cladding, fascias, and guttering, finishing around dark worktops, splashbacks, and sanitaryware, sealing around anthracite composite doors, and general indoor and outdoor sealing work.

Silicone cures to a permanently flexible, waterproof seal that moves with the surfaces either side of it, so joints subject to water, condensation, and seasonal movement stay sealed rather than cracking open as a rigid filler would. It adheres to glass, ceramics, uPVC, aluminium, timber, and most common building materials, and once cured it is weather resistant for external use.

Anthracite has become one of the most requested colours in construction sealing, following the shift towards dark grey windows, bi-fold and sliding doors, composite front doors, and contemporary cladding and rainwater goods. A white or clear seal against an anthracite frame stands out as a bright line and undoes the look; a matched anthracite joint disappears into the surrounding material. Apply with a standard sealant gun to a clean, dry, grease-free surface, tool the joint smooth before it skins, and remove any excess while still wet, as cured silicone must be cut away rather than wiped off. Silicone cannot be painted over.
