Product Description:

Good and Proper Builders Silicone is a general-purpose construction silicone sealant supplied in a 300ml cartridge in clear. It is used for sealing around windows, doors, and frames, glazing and conservatory work, sealing joints in cladding, guttering, and roofing, filling gaps around pipework and services, and general weatherproofing and sealing across construction and DIY projects.

Builders silicone is designed for the harder wear of construction work rather than bathroom and kitchen finishing. It cures to a tough, permanently flexible seal that moves with the building as materials expand and contract with temperature change, so joints stay sealed rather than cracking open over a season. It adheres to most common building materials including glass, uPVC, aluminium, timber, brick, and concrete, and once cured it is UV and weather resistant, holding up in exposed external positions.

The clear finish is the choice where no single colour would match or where the seal should go unnoticed. It suits glass and glazing, mixed materials meeting at a joint, coloured and patterned surfaces, and any position where a white or grey line would draw attention to the joint rather than hide it. Apply with a standard sealant gun to a clean, dry, dust-free surface, tool the joint smooth before it skins, and remove excess while still wet, as cured silicone must be cut away rather than wiped off.
