Our 150mm Foil Faced PIR Insulation Board is a high-performance rigid insulation panel designed for projects where a low U-value is required. Manufactured from a polyisocyanurate foam core with reflective foil facings bonded to both sides, it is suitable for pitched and flat roofs, warm roof construction, ground floors, timber frame walls, dormers, and garage or outbuilding conversions in both domestic and commercial buildings.

PIR offers one of the lowest thermal conductivity ratings of any commonly available insulation material, which means the required thermal performance is achieved at a reduced thickness compared with mineral wool or EPS alternatives. At 150mm, this board delivers a substantial level of insulation in a single layer, making it well suited to roofs, floors, and full-fill applications where meeting current Building Regulations is the priority. The closed-cell structure is resistant to moisture absorption and will not slump, rot, or support mould growth when correctly installed, while the foil facings reflect radiant heat and help maintain performance over the life of the building.

At 2400 x 1200mm, each board covers 2.88m².  Boards can be cut with a fine-toothed saw and fitted between or over joists, rafters, and studwork, with joints taped using foil insulation tape to maintain the integrity of the vapour barrier. At 150mm the board is rigid and bulky rather than heavy, so allow for handling space on site, and note that this thickness is generally too deep to fit between standard 100mm studs without additional battening.
