Product Description:

Good and Proper Roof & Gutter Sealant is a weatherproof sealant supplied in a 300ml cartridge in black, formulated for sealing roofing and rainwater goods. It is used for sealing joints in guttering, downpipes, and hoppers, sealing around flashings, soakers, and roof abutments, repairing leaks in gutters and roof details, sealing laps in corrugated and metal sheet roofing, and bedding roof fixings and fittings.

Roofing sealant works in the hardest conditions any sealant faces: permanently exposed, soaked for days at a time, baked by summer sun, and subject to constant expansion and contraction as metal and plastic move with temperature. This sealant cures to a tough, permanently flexible seal that accommodates that movement without cracking, stays watertight under standing water in a gutter, and resists UV so it will not break down or go brittle after a season on the roof.

Black is the natural colour for rainwater goods. It matches black guttering, downpipes, fascias, and soffits, dark roofing sheets and flashings, and weathered lead and bitumen details, so repairs blend in rather than showing as pale patches along a gutter run. Dirt and algae also go unnoticed on black, where they quickly mark white or clear sealant outdoors. Apply to a clean, dry surface where possible, using a standard sealant gun, and tool the bead firmly into the joint. For gutter repairs, clear out debris and allow the joint to dry before sealing for the best adhesion.
