Our Door Lining Set is a whitewood internal door frame kit supplied ex 32 x 115mm, complete with two legs, a reversible head, and loose door stops. It is used to form the opening for internal doors in stud partitions and masonry walls, and is suitable for new builds, extensions, loft conversions, and refurbishment work where an old frame is being replaced.

The reversible head is what makes this set so practical. It is housed at both ends to two different widths, so a single set suits either a 2ft 6in door (1981 x 762mm) or a 2ft 9in door (1981 x 838mm) — simply turn the head to the correct side before assembly. That means one product covers the two most common internal door sizes, which is useful for trades carrying stock and for anyone who has not yet settled on a door. The loose stops are fitted once the door is hung, allowing them to be positioned precisely against the closed door for an even gap and a quiet close.

Supplied in planed whitewood with a smooth finish, the lining is ready to prime and paint, or stain and varnish, to suit the surrounding joinery. The 115mm width suits standard internal wall build-ups, with architrave fitted over the joint on each face to cover the gap between lining and wall. Assemble the head and legs, set the lining square and plumb in the opening using packers and a spirit level, and fix through the packers into the studwork or masonry before hanging the door.
