Longrake Scottish Pebbles are smooth, naturally rounded pebbles in mixed grey, brown, cream, and pink tones, supplied in a 20kg bag. The 20–30mm size suits borders and flower beds, rockeries, water features and pond edging, pot toppings, and decorative dressing around patios and planting.

Pebbles are chosen for their shape as much as their colour. Rounded and smoothed by water rather than crushed, they give a softer, more natural finish than angular chippings and are comfortable to handle and walk on, which makes them popular around seating areas, in containers, and in gardens used by children. The mixed natural colouring varies from stone to stone, so the surface reads as informal and varied rather than uniform, and the tones deepen noticeably when wet.

At 20–30mm these pebbles sit between the finer 14–20mm grade and the large 40–90mm cobbles. The individual stones are large enough to be seen and appreciated in their own right, which gives a bolder, chunkier finish in beds and around water features, while still covering ground rather than being placed as single feature stones. The 20kg bag can be carried and poured by one person and suits smaller areas and topping up. A depth of around 40mm to 50mm is usually sufficient for decorative use, laid over a weed membrane. Being rounded, pebbles migrate more readily than angular stone, so they hold best in enclosed beds and containers rather than on slopes or open paths.
