Longrake Polar Ice Chippings are a decorative aggregate in bright white and pale ice-grey tones, supplied in a 20kg handy bag. The 20mm size suits borders and flower beds, planters and pot toppings, rockeries, water features, memorial and grave dressing, and small decorative areas.

Polar Ice is one of the brightest decorative aggregates available, and that brightness is what people buy it for. A white stone lifts a space more than any other colour, reflecting light into shaded corners, north-facing beds, and narrow side returns where darker aggregates close the space down, and it gives the strongest contrast available against green planting, dark fencing, and charcoal or slate paving.

The chippings are angular rather than rounded, so they knit together and hold their position in beds and containers. At 20kg, the bag is sized for exactly the kind of work white stone is most often used for — dressing planters, picking out a feature bed, memorial dressing, and topping up where the stone has thinned or dulled over time. It can be carried and poured by one person and stores easily between uses. A depth of around 40mm is usually enough for decorative work, laid over a weed membrane to keep the stone clean and stop it working into the soil. Larger areas are more economically covered with the bulk bag.
