Longrake Polar Ice Chippings are a decorative aggregate in bright white and pale ice-grey tones, supplied in a bulk bag. The 20mm size suits garden borders and flower beds, pathways, rockeries, pot toppings, water features, memorial and grave dressing, and contemporary landscaping schemes across domestic and commercial projects.

Polar Ice is one of the brightest decorative aggregates available, and that brightness is the point. A white stone lifts a space more than any other colour, reflecting light into shaded corners, north-facing beds, and narrow side returns where darker aggregates deaden the space, and making a small garden feel noticeably more open. It is also the strongest contrast available against green planting, dark fencing, and slate or charcoal paving, which is why it has become a staple of contemporary garden design.

The chippings are angular rather than rounded, so they knit together into a firm surface that holds its position in beds and borders. Supplied in a bulk bag, a depth of around 40mm to 50mm is usually sufficient for decorative use, laid over a weed membrane to keep the stone clean and separated from the soil beneath. Coverage will vary with depth. As with all pale aggregates, dirt, leaf litter, and organic staining show more readily than on darker stone, so Polar Ice is at its best in open beds, feature areas, and containers rather than under trees or in heavily trafficked spots.
