Longrake Red Granite is a decorative granite aggregate in warm red, pink, and russet tones, supplied in a bulk bag. The 14mm size suits garden paths and walkways, borders and flower beds, rockeries, driveways and parking areas, pot toppings, water features, and general decorative landscaping.

Granite is among the hardest and most durable aggregates available, which is its main advantage over the limestone chippings in the range. It resists wear and crushing, does not break down or soften over time, and holds its colour year after year, which makes it one of the few decorative stones that will stand up to vehicle traffic as well as looking good in a bed. The red colouring is natural to the rock rather than coated or dyed, so it will not fade or wash out, and it deepens noticeably when wet.

The warm red and russet tones work well against red brick, terracotta pots, and traditional housing, and give a strong contrast with green planting and grey paving. The chippings are angular, so they knit together into a firm, stable surface that holds its position under foot and wheel. Supplied in a bulk bag, a depth of around 40mm to 50mm is usually sufficient for decorative areas, with 50mm or more over a compacted base for driveways. Laying over a weed membrane keeps the stone clean and separated from the soil beneath. Coverage will vary depending on depth.
