Product Description:

The Suelo Fascia Plank is a composite trim board supplied in 3.6m lengths in brown, matched to the Suelo decking range. It is fixed to the exposed edges of a deck to cover the substructure, and is also used around steps, raised platforms, and perimeter framing.

A fascia is what makes a deck look finished. Without it, the cut ends of the boards, the joists, and the gaps between them are all on show around the perimeter, which is the first thing the eye goes to when looking at a deck from the garden. The fascia closes that edge off with a clean, continuous line in the same material and colour as the deck surface, so the whole structure reads as one piece rather than as boards sitting on a frame.

It also does a practical job. Boxing in the substructure keeps leaves, debris, and animals out from beneath the deck, and protects the exposed end grain of the boards and the framing timber from rain. Being composite rather than timber, the fascia will not rot, warp, or need painting, and it weathers at the same rate as the decking so the two stay matched over time. The 3.6m length matches the decking boards, keeping joints to a minimum around the perimeter. Fix at the spacing recommended by the manufacturer, leaving expansion gaps at the ends, as composite moves with temperature.
