Our 1.8m Grey Balustrade Kit is a complete handrail and spindle system supplied ready to fit, giving a finished edge to raised decking, balconies, steps, and elevated platforms. Each kit covers a 1.8m run and includes the components needed for that section, allowing a balustrade to be built up bay by bay to suit the shape and length of the deck.

A balustrade is a safety requirement as well as a finishing detail. Any deck raised significantly above ground level needs an edge protection system to prevent falls, and a properly fixed handrail also gives support on steps and at changes in level. Supplying the rails and spindles as a matched kit removes the measuring, cutting, and spacing work involved in building a balustrade from loose components, and gives an even spindle spacing along the run.

The grey finish suits grey composite and timber decking, contemporary garden schemes, and installations where a softer, more neutral alternative to natural timber or black metal is wanted. Kits are fitted between newel posts set at each end of the run and at any change of direction, and fixed using the appropriate screws and brackets for the deck substructure. For runs longer than 1.8m, multiple kits can be used with an additional post between each section.
