Longrake Scottish Pebbles are smooth, naturally rounded pebbles in mixed grey, brown, cream, and pink tones, supplied in a 20kg bag. The 14–20mm size suits borders and flower beds, planters and pot toppings, water features and pond edging, rockeries, and decorative dressing around patios and planting.

Pebbles are chosen for their shape as much as their colour. Rounded and smoothed by water rather than crushed, they give a softer, more natural finish than angular chippings and are comfortable to handle and walk on, which makes them a popular choice around seating areas, in containers, and in gardens used by children. The mixed natural colouring varies from stone to stone, so the surface reads as varied and informal rather than uniform, and the tones deepen noticeably when wet.

At 14–20mm these are smaller and finer than the 40–90mm Scottish cobbles, which means they cover ground properly rather than being used as individual feature stones, and they give a neater finish in borders and containers. The 20kg bag can be carried and poured by one person, fits in a car boot, and stores easily, suiting smaller areas and topping up. A depth of around 40mm is usually enough for decorative use, laid over a weed membrane. Being rounded, pebbles migrate more readily than angular stone, so they hold best in enclosed beds and containers rather than on slopes or open paths.
