Longrake Ocean Blue Pebbles are smooth, naturally rounded pebbles in blue-grey, slate, and silver tones, supplied in a bulk bag. The 20mm size suits water features and pond edging, borders and flower beds, rockeries and dry stream beds, pot toppings, and decorative dressing across domestic and commercial landscaping.

Pebbles are chosen for their shape as much as their colour. Rounded and smoothed rather than angular, they give a softer, more natural finish than crushed chippings and are comfortable to handle and walk on, which makes them a popular choice around seating areas and in spaces used by children. The blue-grey tones deepen noticeably when wet, which is why pebbles of this kind are so often used around water features, rills, and pond margins, where they stay damp and the colour shows at its best.

Supplied in a bulk bag, it is ready to spread straight onto a prepared area, and buying in bulk works out considerably cheaper per kilo than handy bags once the area runs beyond a container or two. A depth of around 40mm is usually sufficient for decorative use, laid over a weed membrane to keep the pebbles clean and separated from the soil beneath. Coverage will vary with depth. Being rounded, pebbles migrate more readily than angular stone, so they hold their position best in enclosed beds and areas with a defined edge rather than on slopes, and they are not suitable for paths or driveways, where rounded stone rolls underfoot and under tyres.
