Longrake Golden Flint Gravel is a decorative flint aggregate in warm golden, honey, and amber tones, supplied in a 20kg bag. The 20mm size suits borders and flower beds, rockeries, pot toppings, water features, and topping up driveways and gravelled parking areas.

Flint is one of the hardest naturally occurring aggregates, so it wears well under traffic and holds its colour and shape rather than breaking down as softer stone does. The golden tones deepen noticeably when wet and read considerably brighter than a standard grey shingle, which lifts shaded corners and north-facing beds and sits particularly well with sandstone paving, buff block paving, and honey-toned brick and stone.

At 20mm the stones are large enough to knit together and stay in place under wheel traffic, which is why this is the grade used for driveways, and they are too heavy to be kicked about or carried indoors on shoes as finer gravel can be. The 20kg bag suits smaller decorative areas and, more often, topping up a drive where the gravel has thinned or spread at the edges — a job that rarely needs a full bulk bag. A depth of around 40mm to 50mm is usually sufficient for beds, with 50mm or more over a compacted base for driveways, laid over a weed membrane. Larger areas are more economically covered with a bulk bag.
