Product Description:
Our 215mm Hollow Concrete Block is a strong, versatile building block designed for a wide range of structural and general construction work. The 440 x 215 x 215mm format gives a full 215mm wall thickness in a single leaf, making it suitable for load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls, foundations, retaining walls, piers, boundary walls, and infill work across both residential and commercial projects.
The hollow core is what sets this block apart from a solid equivalent. It removes a significant amount of material from the centre of the block, reducing the weight a bricklayer has to lift and speeding up laying on longer runs, while retaining the compressive strength needed for structural use. The voids also allow the block to be filled with concrete and reinforced with steel where additional strength is required, which is why hollow blocks are commonly specified for retaining walls, piers, and reinforced masonry.
