Product Description:

Our 10mm Gravel is a general-purpose construction aggregate supplied in a bulk bag. It is primarily used as the coarse aggregate in concrete mixes, and is equally suitable for drainage runs and soakaways, pipe and cable bedding, sub-base blinding, and as a surface for driveways, patios, and paths where a functional gravel is wanted.

In concrete, the aggregate does the structural work. The stone provides the bulk and carries the load, while the sand and cement bind it together, and 10mm is the size usually specified for thinner sections, reinforced work, and anywhere a smaller stone helps the mix flow around steel or into formwork. For general concreting, this gravel is combined with sharp sand and cement, or our pre-blended ballast can be used where buying the two separately is unnecessary.

It also performs well as a drainage material. The rounded stone allows water to pass through freely without clogging, making it a standard fill for soakaways, French drains, and land drainage. Supplied in a bulk bag containing approximately 850kg, it can be used decoratively on drives, paths, and patios, though it is sold as a construction gravel rather than a washed decorative grade, so expect a more utilitarian appearance than a graded decorative aggregate. Coverage will vary depending on depth.

Bulk bags contain approximately 850kg.
