Our Raj Green Porcelain Paving is a large-format outdoor porcelain slab for patios, terraces, pathways, and garden seating areas. At 900 x 600mm it covers ground quickly with fewer joints than smaller paving, giving a clean, open finish that works equally well in contemporary gardens and in traditional schemes where the warmth of natural stone is wanted.

Raj Green takes its name and appearance from the well-known Indian sandstone, running through soft green, buff, and brown tones with the darker banding and veining characteristic of the stone. It is one of the warmer paving colours, sitting naturally with planting, timber, and buff and honey-toned brick and render, and it suits country and cottage gardens particularly well — the porcelain version giving that same character without the upkeep of porous stone.

Fired at very high temperatures into a dense, virtually non-porous slab, porcelain absorbs almost no water, so it resists frost, will not fade in sunlight, and shrugs off the moss, algae, grease, and food and drink stains that mark natural stone. There is no sealing to do and no annual restoration, just an occasional wash, and the textured outdoor finish holds its grip underfoot in wet weather. Each slab carries its own variation in tone and pattern, so a laid patio reads as natural rather than repetitive. Porcelain should be bedded on a full mortar bed with a slurry primer applied to the back of each slab, as its low porosity means mortar alone will not bond reliably, and cutting requires a diamond blade rated for porcelain.
