Our PIR Insulation Board is a high-performance rigid insulation panel designed for use across a wide range of domestic and commercial building projects. Manufactured from polyisocyanurate foam with foil facings on both sides, these boards deliver excellent thermal performance and are suitable for pitched and flat roofs, internal and external walls, floors and garage or outbuilding conversions.

With one of the lowest thermal conductivity ratings of any commonly available insulation material, PIR boards achieve the required U-values at a reduced thickness compared with mineral wool or EPS alternatives. This makes them particularly well suited to projects where space is limited, such as loft conversions, stud partitions, and room- in-roof applications, while helping to reduce heating and cooling costs over the life of the building. The closed-cell structure is resistant to moisture absorption and will not slump, rot, or support mould growth when correctly installed.

Lightweight and easy to handle on site, PIR boards can be cut to size with a fine-toothed saw or sharp knife and fitted between or over joists, rafters, and studwork. Joints should be taped with foil insulation tape to maintain the integrity of the vapour barrier. Compatible with standard plasterboard, battens, and mechanical fixings, making them a popular choice with builders, contractors, and DIY installers alike.
