Our Washed 10–20mm Gravel is a naturally rounded aggregate supplied in a bulk bag, graded across a range of sizes from 10mm to 20mm. It is suitable for driveways and parking areas, garden paths, borders and beds, drainage runs and soakaways, pipe bedding, concrete mixing, and general ground cover on both domestic and commercial sites.

The mixed grading is the practical difference between this and a single-sized gravel. Because the stones vary in size, the smaller ones settle into the spaces between the larger ones, so the surface knits together more tightly and holds its position better underfoot and under wheels than a uniform grade would. That makes it a dependable general-purpose aggregate, equally at home as a drive surface, a drainage fill, or the stone element in a concrete mix.

The washing process removes clay, silt, and dust from the stone, so it arrives clean, shows its natural colour properly once laid, and will not muddy up a drainage trench or weaken a concrete mix. The rounded profile lets water pass through freely, which is why gravel of this grade is the standard fill for soakaways and French drains. Supplied in a bulk bag containing approximately 850kg, a depth of 40mm to 50mm suits decorative areas and 50mm or more over a compacted base for driveways, laid over a weed membrane. Coverage will vary with depth.
