75-x-75mm-green-treated-fence-post-2-4m
75 x 75mm Green Treated Fence Post 2.4m

Product Description:

Our 75 x 75mm Green Treated Fence Post is a pressure treated softwood post supplied in 2.4m lengths for use in the ground. This is the standard post size for general garden fencing, suiting fence panels, closeboard and featheredge runs, post and rail fencing, trellis, and light screening across domestic and agricultural boundaries.

Pressure treatment forces preservative deep into the timber under vacuum rather than simply coating the surface, protecting against rot, fungal decay, and insect attack. This is what allows the post to survive in permanent ground contact, where untreated timber would fail within a few years, and keeps maintenance to a minimum over the life of the fence. The treatment gives the post its green tint, which weathers gradually to a soft silver-grey unless a coloured preservative or stain is applied.

At 75 x 75mm, this post is well suited to standard panel and closeboard fencing on typical garden boundaries, while heavier work such as gate posts or tall exposed runs is better served by a 100 x 100mm section. As a general guide, around a quarter to a third of the post length should sit below ground, so a 2.4m post typically gives a finished height of 1.8m when set in concrete or postcrete. Any cut ends should be treated with end grain preservative, as cutting exposes untreated timber at the core.

Specification:

Colour

Treated Green

Finished size

3" x 3"

Height

75mm

Height - Imperial

3 Inch

Length

2400mm

Section

3x3

Width

75mm

Width - Imperial

3 Inch

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1016/7759/6999/files/2.4m_Treated_Green_Fence_Post_100_x_100mm.png?v=1791879272
